I'm not sure that the boat should have sailed that night, with the weather the way it was, or (because i had never been on a boat in the ocean) if it is always a rough ride like that.
I, sea sick as well, felt better just by sitting in the lounge and drinking water. The people that had eaten the buffet and that were getting sea sick, were running up and down the narrow stairs to the bathroom all night. Luckily i had eaten a late lunch and was not hungry when they offered the free buffet (during the hour long trip out to sea - during this time, no gambling can be done). I had never been out on a boat of any size in the ocean before, but needless to say i was shocked at how unstable the ride out to sea was! Wind and waves were not this boat's (or my) friend.
